The Elastec Omni Catamaran is currently at Waterside Marina in Norfolk, VA. to begin weeklong trash skimming operations ahead of the 30th annual Clean The Bay Day on Saturday, June 1. There will be a media event tomorrow (May 29, 2019) from 11 to 11:30 a.m. with reporters being invited to see the unique boat in action.
Clean the Bay Day is coordinated by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and will take place at sites across Hampton Roads and the rest of Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay watershed. Thousands of volunteers are expected to join the major event to pick up litter from creeks, rivers, beaches, parks and more.
