30th Annual Stream Cleanup

It only takes three hours to make a big impact. Trash and litter along a stream are not just unsightly. It’s harmful to wildlife and water quality. In celebration of Earth Day, each year we organize a watershed-wide stream cleanup. At our April 2018 event, 1,660 volunteers picked up more than 13.5 tons of trash at 56 cleanup sites, improving 76 miles of rivers and streams! The Ohio River Sweep is an annual, volunteer cleanup that extends the entire length of the Ohio River. Join UGRA for the 17th Annual River Clean Up at Flat Rock Park from 8am-Noon. The first 300 registered volunteers will receive a free River Clean-Up T-shirt, so sign up today.
